A gathering place for students in grades 6-12
Regular Meetings
Sunday Mornings – Sunday morning classes are focused on apologetics and bible knowledge and are in a large group setting. 1 Peter 3:15a says, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” The study of apologetics gives our students an opportunity to grow in their knowledge of the Christian faith. In addition to apologetics, we also have bible-based studies during this time. Sunday mornings allow us to dive deeper into our ever-growing faith in Jesus Christ.
Sunday Evenings – Twice a month on Sunday evenings we hold “SNL” or Sunday Night Live. A typical SNL is comprised of hoping on the church bus and traveling to a church member’s home where we enjoy fellowship, a meal, and a devotional. This is a great time to invite friends who may not otherwise attend church!
Wednesday Nights – Wednesday evening classes are centered around topical studies. We follow the Orange Curriculum during this time. We start off in a large group setting where we play a quick game, watch a video that introduces that evenings topic, and then break off into Small Groups based on grade level where we dive deeper into the topic. This is a perfect place to start for someone new to church or our congregation!

Restore – This is a 3-day conference put on by Carolina Teen in Myrtle Beach, SC. This is scheduled in the Fall.
Challenge Youth Conference – This is a 6-day conference put on by CYC in Pigeon Forge, TN. This is scheduled in February.
Summer Camp – Many of our students attend a week of Christian camp at Palmetto Bible Camp in Marietta, SC. This is scheduled during the Summer.
Carowinds – We take an end-of-the-summer trip to Carowinds theme park located in Charlotte, NC.
Winter Jam Tour – This is an exciting rock concert tour featuring Christian artists. The tour stops in SC and NC are typically in late February or early March.
Retreats – Each year we make sure to do some type of special retreat just for our students. It may be a weekend in the mountains all together, or separate retreats for smaller groups. We try to do these in the Spring or Fall, when the weather is nice!
Special Events
Summer Program – We have a jam-packed summer calendar for our students. We start the summer off with a Summer Kick-Off party and then 2 days each week over summer break are dedicated to free and low-cost outings - one day is for our middle schoolers, the other is for our high schoolers. In the past we have done things such as bowling, pool parties, bring-your-own-board-game day, a day at the beach, trampoline park, movies, and much more!
Promotion Day – In the fall, around the time of the new school year, we will host a Promotion Day where we welcome all incoming 6th graders to Lighthouse Student Ministries.
Gym Pass – This is held once a month and is an open gym where students can come and bring their friends to hang out. We have games such as volleyball, basketball, four-square, ping-pong, video game consoles, and board games available.
