Len Driskell
Len grew up in central Texas and is a two-time graduate of Abilene Christian University (BA & MDIV). After three years of full-time ministry, he joined the US Navy as a Chaplain, serving in four locations with Sailors, Coastguardsmen, and Marines. In 2019, after 11 years on active duty, he moved to the Navy Reserves.
Len joined the staff at SCOC in late 2019 as the full-time Associate Minister and became the Senior Minister in May 2023. He and his wife Kara have four children - Rachel, Bethany, Naomi, and Sheamus.
DON ALAN RIGGS
Don Alan was raised in El Paso, Texas, and graduated from Freed Hardeman University in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Bible. His study emphasis was on Youth and Family ministry, but he has always had a heart for evangelism. Don Alan served as a youth minister in Selmer, TN, and a pulpit minister in Plattsburgh, NY.
As of 2023, he is pursuing a master's in Pastoral Counseling from Heritage Christian University. Don Alan joined the staff in the Fall 2024 as the full-time Associate Minister. He and his wife, Hannah, love to spend time with their dog, Hank, watch sports, play tabletop games, and build Lego.
TIMOTHY CONRAD
Tim hails from Houston, Texas, and pursued his calling in ministry by attending Harding University, where he earned a degree in Bible and Ministry. Along this journey, he met and married Kelsea in 2014. Tim's ministry career has spanned various roles—from youth ministry in Laurel, Maryland, to serving in a children’s home, a church in Memphis, and a Christian rehab facility. These experiences have deepened his understanding of youth challenges, propelling him towards integrating mental health counseling with ministry. He's currently working towards his LPC certification.
Tim joined SCOC as the full-time Youth Minister in 2023, bringing his passion and expertise to the youth community. He and Kelsea, now a high school English teacher, have three children - Jonathan, James, and Lilly.
ann Miller
Ann grew up in Hannibal, MO and graduated from Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL. She and her husband, Chris, have been active members at SCOC since moving to the Low Country in 1989. Ann has been involved in several ministries and volunteer roles during that time, including filling in for the church Administrator when needed. She also served as the Youth Secretary from 2015-2020. Ann joined the staff as the full-time church Administrator in October, 2023.
Ann and Chris have been married for 36 years, have two children, and a new grand-baby.
Kara Driskell
Kara joined the staff at SCOC in 2019 as the part-time Children’s Ministry administrator. She is married to Len Driskell and is a mother of four. Kara has had a variety of education jobs over the past 20 years including 10 years as a public school teacher, homeschool mom and teacher, a Girl Scout troop leader, as well as a Sunday school teacher at every church they’ve attended. Kara currently works as a third-grade teacher at Hanahan Elementary.
DAVID INMAN
David was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, and spent most of his youth in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, where he grew up. He became a Christian at 13 years old and at 18, relocated to Annapolis, Maryland for college. There he met and married his wife, Sara. The two celebrated 20 years of marriage in 2019, and enjoy raising their four sweet daughters.
David is an environmental engineer and since 2013 has served at Water Mission, a local Christian ministry providing sustainable clean water solutions in developing nations. He oversees staff and operations in Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, and Peru. David loves worship and praise music and has been leading singing since he was five years old in every congregation he’s attended.
David joined the staff at SCOC in 2014 as the worship leader.
