Environments to form Relationships and strengthen Faith

One of the most telling signs of a faithful Christian is a deep relationship with God’s Word. The mission of the adult education program is to assist our members in knowing the Lord and deepening their relationship with Him through expository and topical studies of the Bible. Our discussion-based classes align with Summerville CoC’s overall vision for the church: Relationships Formed, Faith Strengthened.

Adult Class (Family Room): So That You May Know - the Gospel of Luke

A study of Luke’s Gospel. We will look at this orderly account of the birth, life, and death of Jesus Christ. These stories and teachings were written so we might be certain of what have been taught and have put our faith in, the Good News of the Son of God who died and rose again.

Because great friendships are a vital part of life, we'll spend time in God's word to help us build, shape, and maintain adult relationships while highlighting friendships found in the Bible.

Join us as we delve into Scripture to uncover the role, purpose, and significance of angels in our lives and faith.

Family Room: The Church in Exile, a study of 1 Peter

Certain books of the Bible speak with special power at specific moments in history. The idea of the church in exile has been a subject of much discussion in recent years. In this class we will see if 1 Peter's message is particularly appropriate for our time.
