February 7, 2021 - Adult Bible Class
CORRECTION: In this class I briefly mentioned the Greek and Hebrew words for worship in Scripture. While this was not a major point in class, I did misread my own notes during the class and would like to correct something I said. The most-used Hebrew word for worship in the OT is shachah, not mishmereth, as I stated. Shachah carries the same meaning as the Greek word proskuneo, the most-used word for worship in the NT. Both words refer to bowing down or prostrating oneself in a reverential way.
I realize this is probably not a big error for many of you, but I apologize for any confusion and wanted to correct my mistake.
